dVerse Poets – Loving Red

Known by her striking red hair

Her temper flares as well

Nicknamed Red by her friends

Caused her ego to swell

Often outrageous actions

Followed a temper true

Justified by her Irish hair

Repercussions then came due

Aging seemed to calm her some

Realizing all she’d done

Fighting for just causes

None of which she’d won

Alas this tale is sorrowful

But heed her actions please

Always using temperance

Doesn’t accomplish the deed.
