Looking into the worn photo album, Marie remembered good times. But seeing herself with her young family, she felt sad. They appeared ideal–hair groomed, clothes clean and everything a little too posed. Could this be what people thought seeing them from a distance or like this, in a picture?
Life is never like that, she thought. Our real life was never that perfect. The idea was difficult to swallow.
The facade usually masks the reality. Well done.
