SoCS 9-01-18

Round and round the 45s went on the record player. Some of these small vinyl records are probably lounging around in my storage area, but I have no player for them. I remember spending time perusing the record store collections. Then it was LPs and a much longer time before you had to change it. There were automatic players of course but some aficionados preferred placing the delicate needle themselves. Of course for dancing, we just let it auto repeat for songs like Chubby Checker’s “twist” –up and down, round and round”.
