Compromise requires thought
Facts not always what you’re taught
It needs acts that are mature
Not simply ones that might allure
Accomplishing this is a feat
And I caution, also entreat
Sometimes uncompromising
Can lead to rebel rising
What this country was built on
To rise up and not just sit on
Things on which you don’t agree
You need to vote, there is no fee
It takes small effort, check the box!
Instead of complaining with all that talk.

You are so correct. When over 50 percent of people eligible to vote failed to do so, we stop being the strong democracy we are meant to be.
