Three Line Tales-64- Glow


It was only a string of lights. The garden was beautiful in the evening, but the string of lights were like fireflies, resting on the wire. She was anticipating the question.

The glow of the tiny bulbs reflected in her eyes. She had dreamed of this moment. The garden, the scent of the gardenia, strong and sensual, all was perfect. She smoothed the flowered cotton frock. She hoped the strapless dress and her tanned skin would entice him.

He casually strolled over to her, not taking his eyes off his fiancé, at least he intended her to be, after tonight.
