A Thank You Needed

I have to publicly thank a friend (actually more than a friend to me) for encouraging me to write a blog here.  I wanted to help other people who had bladder cancer or uterine cancer to be able to cope with the problems that occur.  Sharing my experiences in an open and honest way seemed like a way even to help myself.  Humor is essential in my life, and I try to bring it to these conditions along with sincerity.  I didn’t receive any questions, maybe I was too thorough!  No response, so thought I had failed.  Then I focused on the word prompts, exploring my feelings.  It has opened up a new world full of interesting people.  I so enjoy reading your stories, discussions, comments, and opinions.  And the photographs are wonderful.  So I’m not only grateful for my friend’s advice, but to all of you who have stopped by.  Thank you!

  1. Thank you is an important word when true graciousness fuels it. Words matter! I remember one time years ago when I admonished one of my children for saying a ‘bad’ word. He argued, “Mom, it’s just a word!” I pointed out that words have power. Thank YOU for writing this blog. You give me perspective when thinking of my own problems.
