Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.
My favorite pair of shoes were mid high golden tan high heels. I bought them with my first paycheck from a job a started on my eighteenth birthday. They matched the beige pantyhose I wore and would go with any of my limited wardrobe. Slacks were not allowed then. As I think back I’m sure they were a transition symbol from teenager to adult in a tangible form. I wore them when I stepped on a nail and had to go to the ER. I wore them after I married and years later. The leather shoes were a good quality and lasted a long time.
