Apologies

I have to sincerely apologize to those of you who follow my scribbling here. Opening up my site this morning I saw a blatant rude icon from someone I don’t know, do not follow and was disgusted by the icon. It was on my comment icon list and I had to remove my list.

I think this was a retaliation for spamming someone. I hoped Akismet would have blocked pictures like this automatically, but no. Now I’m going to change my content allowed status. All this because someone has the audacity to put a full frontal nude picture as an icon. Really? Is that how you like to present yourself?

I am sorry if it offended you, never my intent here on my blog.

A Wrinkle of Time

Crawl out of bed

With aching back

Spring in my step

I sorely lack

Gather my wits

Still have a few

Go to the kitchen

For a coffee brew

Putting it off

But have to tinkle

Bathroom mirror

Shows a new wrinkle

Notice it’s always Father Time?

See my reflection and see why

Men age gracefully it seems

Women no longer a thing of dreams

Shut the door after brushing my head

Grab the coffee and go back to bed.

MLMM Wordle #152

Leering at the two trash talking braggarts’ fist bump, Marie was determined this would be the last time she would endure their jokes. It was time to face the ugly truth and get tough!

Marie was finally learning she had to galvanize her emotions and disregard the unwarranted opinion of others. She was a bit outre, realized she could never fit into the “normal” social groups, but needed some place to feel accepted.

A murky choice to appeal to the other so-named weirdos–they also might choose to ridicule her. There was no real comparison to her in the grid of high school cliques. She decided the best way to find out was to repair to the science lab and present a staunch presence. Fist bumping bullies be damned!

Twittering Tales 10-1-19

Aftermath at the hospital—

I’m telling you, I read the badge!

What badge?

The one he was wearing! Joe winced as the nurse was finishing up the lengthy stitches in his arm.

I read it – “feed me!”.

The park ranger snorted. “Bears are a lot smarter than you think—scratched off “Don’t”.
