MLMM Photo Challenge 4-21-20

I know I left it here, somewhere. I remember these trees and how easy I thought it would be to find it again, after. That was before, when I thought I would be free to come back to this place. Now everything, every bit of the forest floor is covered in leaves. Summer pathways of green long since disappeared, and it all looks the same.

I buried the box in the spring, not knowing it would be months before I could retrieve it, after you’d gone, when it was safe. Memories of the secret dalliance into a different world now seem to be lost forever.

Strawberry Daiquiri 🍓

***

I remember the evening, I remember it well

The strawberry daiquiri, that’s when I fell

The strong liquor with a fruity taste

Your lips puckering, and that face

Trying to smile with squinting eyes

The sweet sour sensation you tried to disguise

I took advantage of the crinkle of lips

That’s when my heart took the trip

Though my first love years ago I recall

You still taste like that memory, and I still fall.

Let me be clear.

I wrote an A to Z Challenge about protest for the letter P. In no way did I mean to suggest protests to open the country again, so I need to make that clear.

My protest days are over but what I was trying to say was, be vigilant, vote if you want to change the way things are, in general, such as corporations getting huge tax breaks, medical help for all and putting children first.

In no way do I think the country should be open again, with people out and about till this crisis is over.

I do not advocate violence in protests. There is a better way.

MLMM Wordle #186

“Another sob story, Brian? Why aren’t you dressed? We’re going to be late!” Joe put his coat in the car and walked up to Brian with certainty in his steps. His brother’s heavy idoneous ranting of excuses was getting Joe next to the boiling point.

Brian seemed to exclude anything positive in his life, trying to be his own man, preferring to be alone. In solitude he was free to absorb all the beige of life and forget the colors of spontaneity and adventure.

What Day is it Anyway?

I see this morning I put the wrong title on my A to Z post. Probably doesn’t matter in the midst of a world crisis, but hey…bet no one even noticed!😂 That’s what happens when you can’t sleep and try to keep your mind from realizing you can’t sleep! Uh–maybe I need the net…

I find creativity is not lost here on the WP site. Amazing poems, great stories, beautiful photos and art…we have it all folks! So if you are bored, take a wander into the reader and explore, try a new challenge, be free to be you!
