For anyone wondering how the “commander and chief” and I write that term with disrespect, is faring in reference to people all around our nation who are sick, dying, starving–this is how. After all, after a night of hateful tweeting, he needs to exercise something besides his thumbs!

Tedious perfectly describes my encounter with WP the last few days. Why that is I haven’t a clue. Everything looks the same but when I try to do anything, it doesn’t work. It took five tries just to get this post to put Cyranny’s address on it. 🙄

“Help!”
The restaurant host was being deluged by black creatures. Ever since the lockdown, his customers had to eat at outside tables. Every fly in the area took advantage of the situation since they too were locked out of kitchens.

I wonder if I am the only one (as usual. . .ask my kids) having problems with WP today? I made a Monday Movie post, scheduled it, and now can’t find a trace of it anywhere. What’s up with that?

Thunder booming
Black clouds looming
Cooling winds
The storm begins
Windows are closed
Shut against rain
Dogs start to howl
Of the noise they complain
Cats unaware of any distress
Snuggle into their mother’s dress
Children hide under covers in bed
Lightning is what they dread
Scary shadows on walls appear
Lights flickering causing fear
Garden flowers close in the gray
Not wanting to lose petals this day
Mice returning to their holes
Nesting birds’ feathers closed
Forest trees are only ones
That enjoy the downpour waters’ run.

It was Saturday and the whole town showed up at the annual Best Bug Competition. Every year many children foraged the beach sand, garden dirt or attics and garages to find the most unusual bugs for the contest.
Never to be outdone, old Mr. Jones, sometimes referred to as “the maniac”, participated and oftentimes won. “It isn’t rocket science; I’m just an old idiot who loves creatures”, he always said when receiving the prize, a year’s prescription for Bugaway Juice. He lived on the edge of town in a shanty that had seen better days. It was only at competition time that he searched out the invertebrates that shared his home.

REBLOG! Another delightful post from leaf and twig!

Upset frustrated mother
Feels it might be a waste of her time
Scolding children who never bother
Proper disposal of rheumy tissue slime
She bends at the waist
For closeup spoken directions
No roomy separation, needs clear inflection
“Keep your roomies safe and observe the rules!”
She cannot wait till they open the schools.
