She stood, looked around and felt envy for the people seated. She saw everyone talking, watching the scenery go by, and she felt left out, and alone. It seemed everyone had a companion except her. Perhaps when she reached her home town she would be accepted and feel she belonged.

MLMM Sunday Writing Prompt – Guardian

No worries child. I will remain until you’ve grown into a man. For now I will watch over you and keep you safe. But years from now, we will have many adventures together. Now finish your chores while I bathe in the sunlight.

Do you know?

Does anyone know what this was used for? It is attached, so not a cup and saucer and no handle. It’s about 4 and 1/2″ wide and 3″ tall and is a clear blue glass on top but the bottom has a pretty design. I thought maybe a sugar bowl?

I picked this up as a five year old at a sale a million years ago and stuffed in my hope chest because I loved the color. Anyone have hope chests anymore??πŸ™„πŸ˜ƒ

I welcome any ideas! 😊

Monday Movie

I watched “The Healer” this weekend. To my surprise in the credits were photos of Paul Newman and videos of camps he started where children with serious diseases or disabilities can attend for free. 100% after taxes profits from his Newman’s Own products help sponsor these camps.

My granddaughter has attended this camp in CO and loves it. My older granddaughters have been counselors there also. Check out the site below.

Cancelled

Well that’s a dismaying turn of events. The peaceful protest has been cancelled. I can’t see how goofy Joe and I are any threat. Sure, others may have jeopardized their situation being rude, even dangerous, but all we want to do is express our rights handed down in history and hold a prayer vigil for our fallen brothers. It is everyone’s right to pray whenever and wherever they want and they don’t need to start a war doing it!

Joe and I are certainly not violent people and we are not the envy of rabble rousers, or Confederate flag wavers. We should be able to hold a prayer session with no harm to him or me. I don’t understand what is meant by people who insight violence using a defunct flag.
