My vote is the store manager who kept calm in the barrage of a group of no-mask wearing women who falsely claim they have a religious exemption for not wearing a mask. It makes me think of the meme WWJD – no offense intended, but for Pete’s sake! Maybe we need to have bouncers in stores now?

People you need to wear masks!
Listening to Cole Porter this morning reminded me of how many lyrics and rhythms I miss hearing. He was a genius with words and dancing to his music was always fun. This is “Begin the Beguine” sung by Jo Stafford, a classic in her own right.

Entering the bar, Jake hummed “Dancing in the Dark”, not the Bruce Springsteen version but the Cole Porter classic. Approaching the dance floor his song became louder. Looking for a dance partner, and finding none, Jake swayed alone, remembering his late wife and their last dance there.
The crowd stopped, the band hesitated and then the older members started playing the song.
