What is hidden in the meaning of regular words , as we let our language deteriorate into slang and innuendo? Words can convey a meaning of what the eyes don’t see just as the eyes can reveal what is not spoken outright.
As we educate our children, we need them to utilize both and do their best to learn more, and use more and better words to interpret their feelings.
Of course this doesn’t apply to me, since I use “cool” too often and with many meanings.

Educate – Word of the Day Challenge

The end product should be uniform in shape but it takes a bit of practice to make a perfect pancake. Any recipe will do and many extra ingredients will enhance the flavor, especially for children. My kids loved adding chocolate chips, but my own favorite is blueberries or cranberries. However, nothing beats plain old butter and maple syrup. Whatever you decide, the basic recipe of flour, milk, eggs and sugar is the beginning.

“Leave me alone,” she snapped, juking around around him on the sidewalk and hurrying away with a quick clack of heels. She had the bag in hand, shoved the bills into his fist, and now all she wanted was to get away. Looks from people who saw her grab the bag didn’t deter her from quickening her pace. They wouldn’t believe her anyway, even if she did stop to explain. All her mind could handle was that she now had the meds she needed to save her son.

I had no fear this morning as I mooched off my daughter to drive me to the doctor’s office for my first covid vaccine shot. His office is one of only two that may administer the vaccine here in Cheyenne. It is a warm 56F and sunny so a soft sweater was the only extra thing I needed. She stayed with me for the extra fifteen minutes since I’ve had an anaphylaxis reaction twice before. I didn’t feel the shot, my arm is not sore and no reaction.

She looked over her shoulder. Yes, he was still watching her. Of
course thatās what she wanted. Thatās why she wore this dress, showing off her tattoos. Anyone interested in her because of the drawings was someone she wanted to meet.
Her life story was painted on her body. Not her real life, but her
fantasy life, the one she wanted to live. She endured the pain of the
needle, hoping the results would finally sweep her away into them. Of course it wouldnāt really happen, but as each tattoo was blazoned on her body, she would try to wish herself into them.
He was still looking at her, couldnāt take his eyes off her! She was certainly beautiful, but those tattoos! He would love to see all of them, every painting on that beautiful body. She looked right at him. She knew he was interested. It was as if there was a silent connection.
He was interested alright. She could feel his curious interest in his gaze. Maybe if she turned around and started toward himā¦.
Unbelievable, he thought. Sheās coming over! Their attraction was
equally exciting. As she grew closer he smiled. āCare for a drink?ā he asked. They left the street carnival and went into the cafe.
