What makes traditional Mexican fare worthy of such a distinction? You won’t find cumin soaked ground beef hard shell tacos topped with iceberg and cheddar. But, you will find lamb barbacoa that has been smoked underground in banana leaves or carnitas topped with queso fresco, pickled onions and homemade salsa verde wrapped in a warm homemade corn tortilla that has been ever so lightly heated on a comal. And Puebla, just so happens to be considered by many, including Rick Bayless and Mark Bittman, as the gastronomic capital of Mexico.

It’s quite obvious I am a Democrat but today I had to write a letter to Congress woman Chaney to applaud her actions, beginning with her vote to impeach Trump. She is part of the representation from my current state of Wyoming. Unless you’ve been living under a rock here in the US, you are seeing she is being harassed by the GOP and might lose her seat in congress. All the while we have bigoted gun toting irrational congresswomen such as CO’s Boebert and GA’s Greene left to squander required ethics in full. It is shameful.

The piquant cherry blossoms exhumed from the tree branches on this warm spring Friday. The park was alive with young girls and you could almost feel the insecure masculine preteens, their eyes in awe as they chased the girls in silly games, hoping for a touch, but never admitting it was their goal. Spring, puppy love, and a playground full of new adventure.
