Too Late

Never appearing a bit aloof

Joe piled his loot on the roof

Ignoring his neighbor’s look of resentment

While trying to protect his investment

As he kneeled on the carpet tied up in a roll

Said, “it’s not my fault–flood’s coming over the knoll!”

The neighbor sighed, returned to his rooms

Hard rain began and the thunder boomed.

Joe and his stuff were safe under canvas

While the neighbor paced, fretting and anxious.

What is Texas Guv thinking?

The hurricane season here and the grid vulnerable – where is the money for those repairs?

Using tax dollars for building their own wall on Mexico border?

And did you notice it’s named Texas Holocaust? I’m all for educating our children about the Holocaust which is very important, but it’s just like Texas to write the bill with their name first. . .and of course this bill does not include their neighbors in Mexico.πŸ”»πŸ”»

Cyranny’s 1MinFiction 6-16-21

Okay Jerry, we got this! Only a few more to go and the cork will be free again. Who knew cork could be such a softie? Makes you wonder how paper puts up with it. Sad, isn’t it?

dVerse Poetics

Can you tell a story through a photograph in minimalist style? Is it possible to convey a scene or event using textures, colours and shapes? The answer, is yes!

It gives me great pleasure to honor and to showcase Glenn A. Buttkus’s site β€œSouth Sound Minimalist Photos,” this evening. You can find his fabulous site by clicking on the link below:

Mike and his best friend Jack were both sleeping restlessly that night. They had gone to see the latest teen flick and despite their nonchalant actions after watching the unexpected twist between the two main characters, they went to their own homes with thoughts of romance. One phrase kept them dreaming: “heaven in her eyes”. Both boys wondered if they might ever meet someone and feel that passion.

Of Mice and Men

Joe had tried this hack before with success so why not again? It was his intention to breach the website’s privacy structure using a ball of twine and a car battery. Joe was never one to follow the latest trend in technology, and this method worked easily back in the seventies. Unfortunately, Joe had no clue that his previous technique would inflame his entire garage.

Why do we leave cars worth thousands millions of dollars in our driveways and put our useless junk in the garage?
