I heard a voice calling out my name from inside the house, and when I opened the door, a wraith in the form of my dad came floating inside! I was just getting my breath back when it started to speak with my dad’s voice!
“Sorry to bother, son, but I seem to have lost my way. Do you still have that compass I gave you when you were ten?”
I couldn’t speak, unable to move. My dad’s ghost slipped past me and sat down at the kitchen table. “I didn’t mean to startle you, I guess I can be a bit of a shock. And I don’t want to monopolize your time, but I really need that compass.”
“Uh, is it really you, dad? You look sort of filmy.”
“Well after being buried and then living “on the other side”, it’s what happens. No worries, son, I’m fine. I just need the compass to guide me. We’re all meeting Halloween night in the Hoia Baciu forest, and I haven’t a clue how to get there.”
I went up to the attic and retrieved the item. I tried to give my dad a hug before he left, but he was just a foggy mist.

“What the hell is a weltanschauung?” Joe decided to toss caution to the wind and blurt out what each classmate was thinking. The Jonas sisters, Yin and Yang, added laughter to the turmoil because each girl was a secret admirer of Joe. Previously, the two girls were a blessing to Miss Fussy and would honor her each day with an apple. Their parents liked Miss Fussy and her strict curriculum.
Joe’s friend Mike added to the situation asking Miss Fussy, “Yeah, man, are you high?” Joe gave his friend a nod and the beauty of Miss Fussy’s face turning red fueled more laughter. The tone of the remaining thirty minutes of English class was chaotic.
The young monster dropped his cape to the table, and the battle began. An eerie tune began playing from somewhere outside the room, and the small Count Dracula was looking forward to “bloody good times”, as he put it. Starting to chase the girls first, he grabbed them easily and the blood poured. The Count then flags the newly turned vampire victims in the zone to cover the doors—because no one would be spared.
Lucy’s hot pink notebook was a kenspeckle choice for old Miss Picky’s “Seriously History” class. The sun hit the neon cover and temporarily blinded Miss P.. Lucy is now sitting in the principal’s office, listening to him say she should have known better.
I never want to run into a spider or it’s web anytime anywhere😳
Yes I believe in other dimensions. I hope to visit one after death🤷🏼♀️
I’m not a fan of graveyards in general, but no.👻
The most frightening book I ever read was “It” by Stephen King, when it was published in 1986. I was a fan of his stories, but he quickly became too prolific to keep up. I’m sure there are more scary books out there but I’m no longer a horror fan.🤡
A wolf because I love them and don’t think they are scary.🐺
♥️I am grateful my daughter’s tests showed she does have a serious medical condition but treatable. With both parents having had cancer, we were holding our breath. Thank the gods♥️
