- When you are in the kitchen cooking (or cleaning), do you have anything playing in the background (i.e.,TV, music, Julia Childs, etc.) while you are completing your tasks? If you are not someone who cooks or does chores in your kitchen, think of another chore or task. While you are doing that task, do you have anything going on in the background?
- What is the weirdest thing you have ever eaten that someone cooked for you?
- Thinking of that weird food, did you like it enough to eat it again or get the recipe?
- What’s the food you usually refuse to share?
- Do you use recipes when you cook, or do you have your own way of cooking the food that you love? If you are not the person who cooks in your household, pick a task that has directions/instructions. Do you follow the directions or put them to the side?
- Bonus: Pick three smells in your kitchen that make you happy when you smell them.

I used to put on fast moving music when cleaning and as I have written before on my blog, my three kids would groan as they walked in the door after school to hear Neil Diamond belting out the “Brother Love’s Traveling Salvation Show”. It was the “cleaning” song!😀
I only took one bite and then threw it up – a practically raw steak that the landlady put in front of me at a boarding house.
Never! I grew up in New England where all meat was thoroughly cooked till brown and dry.
I never refuse.
I rarely cook anymore. Baking is scary, lifting heavy big pans etc and in a wheelchair I’m sitting too low to cook stovetop much. I only use a recipe if I’ve not cooked it before.
Bacon. Coffee. Brownies. Hamburgers with onion.

Stopping to read the praiseworthy inscription on the face of the tombstone, she thought, “this death memento is pure fiction”. Even the prayer vigil held was an abomination in her eyes. There were barriers set up, but some protesters climbed over them, with a few finding ways to disrupt the mourners’ activities. As “facts” stated in his books, along with supposed letters of reward, were dragged out—made up versions of his achievements, she looked on at the sorrowful. Her facial expression incredulous to think his lying tongue spouted only hate and division. Even in death he seemed to have won.

Six Sentence Story – Ingredient
My best ingredient for life is humor—agreed not always accepted as such, but that’s their brain, not mine.
Family, love, hugs and smiling—yes SMILING, can be seen right through our pesky masks and by the way, I hope you’re still using them, every little bit helps.
And the word little gets to another important ingredient, the little things that you notice making life livable, pleasant, and worth living.
It could be anything—your hot creamy morning latte, your dog’s smile of thanks when you set down a food bowl, a new bloom on your houseplant, the peeking up of spring flowers, or a bird momentarily pausing on your windowsill-as in most things, whatever floats your boat.
My boat has needed these ingredients and little things to keep me sane, how about you?

March came in, settled as a lovely sunny day, no need to firtle your mind about it. The stocky ice was turning to needed water and it looked like spring had sprung! Then of course, this is Wyoming and the next week was again below freezing temperatures.
