Then the violence at the fest

When crowds forward pressed

Nation’s symbol on their vest

And violence ensued

He achieved his misplaced quest

Caused the rioters’ arrest

And a nation to suggest

History of “democracy” was bruised.

The best and worst part of any event is anticipation. A nice dinner at your favorite restaurant, a get together with family or friends, the phone call or letter from someone you love, a new baby in the family, those are the best☺️.

The worst are dentist appointments, doctor’s test results, college exams, new job interviews, waiting at the vet with your sick animal, and threatening weather news.

What a perfect word today since I am feeling heaps of generosity from my family. They came by last night and took my laundry and trash and helped setup a few things I can’t reach. My new place does not have a stove or washer yet—they will be ADA appliances but everything else is in. The dumpster fir trash is huge and tall and I can’t access it so the management is supposed to make an adjustment of some kind to arrange for someone to pick up my trash😳. That person is just going to love me.🥺🙄

All is arranged quite differently here and it takes an old lady some time to figure out a new routine, because as some of you probably know—even after fifty you develop daily habits/routines. Try varying yours and see what happens😂

“This is a gift from the gods”, Joe said to his host McKenna, who at the time had a bear in the crosshairs of his rifle. Joe took in a deep breath of mountain air. Seeing nature up close for the first time, took out his digital camera for a quick photo and then began scribbling on his sketch pad, capturing the scene before him. He cast his gaze to the bear, apparently not bothered by their closeness. The afternoon light revealed a multicolored shine on the bear’s black fur. Joe craved a closer view, but tour guide McKenna’s eyes, and taut grip on the rifle, made him think he was close enough.
