It was meant as an antiwar statement, a silent protest. Peace Street was not crowded, it was just an ordinary day. Suddenly a man ran up, grabbed one of the “bullets” and charged into the building. The unsuspecting guard at the door couldn’t believe it when he was mortally impaled. Joe sat down and cried. He thought his wife loved him but then saw her with the guard. He wondered if it was the uniform.

Ronovanwrites Sijo – Perfection

  • 14-16 syllables per line
  • A total of 44-46 syllables for the entire poem.
  • The first line of the Sijo usually sets the theme.
  • The second line elaborates on the first line.
  • The third line brings the poem matter to a close.

The setting can be nature, a favorite season, or some event of your day. Something, as I mentioned above that can be contemplative in nature.

30 Day Film Challenge

I only went to the movie theater once in the past year but my grandson, the very best guy who always helps me, insisted I see this one, so off we went. “The Lost City”. It was fun to see Sandra Bullock again. She doesn’t age😳. There’s a slow motion scene where Brad Pitt is pushing her and he flips his long hair back—I thought was hilarious! All good fun and entertaining and it was nice to get out to a theater after a couple of years🥰

It was a hope, a promise, a wish that had been smoldering inside her for years. Now she could accomplish it. She took the magic powder and filled her water glass. She gulped it down, choking on the bitter taste , but it would be worth it. She would see him again, she would keep him safe. The odd mystic predicted it. The spell she cast would complete it. The cup disappeared in her hand and she saw her arms fade away into a light. Her reflection no longer clear, she felt she was traveling in time, back to the day they met.

A2Z Unusually Vicious

I must have skipped yesterday and catching up today. Today I am talking about high school sports. Again. It takes guts to get out on a gym floor or grass field to play a sport these days. For some reason fouls that cause injuries are not called or is it biased coaches training or referees? I find it very frustrating to watch. Trying to take out a star player is nothing new, but when did it become a joke? A lack of sportsmanship is rampant. It’s a game! I know I harp on this but isn’t this also a form of parents promoting disrespect?
