MLMM Wordle #271

***

Marion seemed wistful as she marked another year, always bending to the myriad of changes in her body. Her lover never seemed to falter in his admiration of her nakedness. Their love life continued to be a lively triumph in their relationship.

James never wanted her to paint her face, or have any features changed with a lift. Even in her hiemal years he saw her as green as when they first met, fifty years before.

JuJoJa 2 – Surprise 🪑

Gobbledygook

Joe loved antiques, I’m telling you he loved the old stuff—scarred, moldy, scratched—he didn’t care as long as it was made before the last century. If Joe spied what he thought was a bargain, it looked all the more pleasing to him.

Matilda did not have this passion. Being Joe’s mate, she would sometimes insinuate his choice of furniture was just gobbledygook, labeled as a priceless antique.

As Joe brought home another piece of unneeded furniture, Matilda was about to blow her top. Joe surprised her by turning the chair upside down and showing her the inscription: Thomas Chippendale.

I hear the hot air fanning

Seems it almost sings

Ringing like a cash register

Ca-Ching Ca-Ching Ca-Ching!

I really like cold weather

Love the beauty of the snow

But these winds?

They have got to go.

Even in the afternoon

When sun beams are the best

It hardly makes a dent

Even coming from the West

I guess I’ll have to shop

Buy long Johns for under my clothes

Might try these mukluks

To try to save my toes

It’s only January, still a while to go

Time to gear up, enjoy the temps at 10 below!

SoCS/JJJ #1 🎉🎊

Happy NewYear Everyone!

Your prompt for #JusJoJan and Stream of Consciousness Saturday is: “resolve.” Use it as a noun or a verb. Have fun!

🎉🎊🎉🎊

Finally I am in my new digs and just got Wi-Fi internet an hour ago! I have an overload of email stacked on my server and blogs to catch up on—wow.

I thought I pretty much had resolve down, thinking I can handle a lot of stress, disorganization, not knowing where I’m going to be when, etc, —I would just go with the flow or try to. This move being up and down the last two months has tested that theory. However I am now sitting in my new apartment, stuff scattered around till it’s hung up—grandson coming tonight to do that.

My family here is a huge blessing! They listened to my frustrations and moved everything, set it up and took away furniture and items I don’t have room for. With only one closet in the new place😳 sentimentality was out the window. Finding scooter pathways without bumping into freshly painted walls takes a skilled driver😂. That’s a small summary of the past few days…I’m sure you’re nodding off so I’ll say keep safe and well tonight!

SoCS 12-25-21

‘Twas the morning of Christmas and all through the town

All was quiet, with windows full of kids’ frowns

The N95 masks hung by the chimney with care

In hopes the pandemic would not spread there

I in my nightcap had just woken up

It was time to take out the Christmas pup

Outside there were marks and tiny deer tracks

My new fruit trees must have been a great snack

The gifts round the tree were few and small

No one had dared to shop at the mall

We all settled in for some old board games we found

And hoped that next year a cure would be found.
