Dear, we need to discuss this old jalopy you love. It is in a state of disrepair, and now the the manifold needs replacing! It has problems galore and even though you have deep sentimental feelings about it, that is really a moot point. Even your grandfather would say it’s had it’s day.

The first to offer a seatbelt in a production car was Nash in 1949, followed by Ford in 1955; Saab made them standard equipment in 1958.
The police detective was just opening his car door when he glimpsed her shape in the shaded window and was fraught with a moment of horror, accompanying a sharp thrust of breath.
Even though his shift was over, he should never have left her alone. The note she received was clear—“you are going to die”.
Confusedly, he tried to judge the gap between him and her window. His legs felt like lead and the window being on a low floor might still be too long a distance to save her. He heard her scream and then silence. He let out a guilty sigh as he realized it was already too late.
As he entered her apartment, he saw her body lying there. All he could do now was get the murderer. His replacement detective arrived and between them they were determined to catch the perpetrator.
“No, not again. I’m not going to do it. Yes, you look so soft and warm and have those yummy chocolate chips peeking up through the top, looking so tempting, I can almost feel you melting in my mouth. But no, even though you’re sitting on the cooling rack fresh from the oven, no. Three is enough!”
Joe crashed into the room letting the door slam behind him. “How come every time I come home there’s a new discovery which has usually cost me plenty of my hard earned money, cousin? And these new curtains? There is no essence of craft in these disasters!”
“Oh, calm down Joe, I got a new job today and it pays great, so these were bought on my dime, thank you! You’ll get used to them; those blackouts you had hanging left the living room too dark.”
“Well, I do like the color, not the design. Sorry I blew my top.”
I just saw that Colorado had over one MILLION cases of Covid. Think about that for a minute. This isn’t going away so why isn’t every single person no matter their age wearing a mask, taking precautions and acting like this is serious? Why is there constant whining about taking these safety measures?
We are ALL sick of it, agreed, but why not use a little common sense?🙄 Schools are reconvening without requiring masks. 😳
