Simply Six Minutes

“Okay are we done yet? I can’t wait to get this bulky heavy equipment off! Boy, George, you certainly know how to pick ‘em…last year’s college reunion adventure required a pick axe, carabiners and heavy ropes. Oh and let’s not forget the night goggles for the dark caves.”

“Seriously, Becky, does your husband have to put up with all this whining every time you leave the house?”

Becky’s old friend, Bill offered “yes…yes, we all do.”

U for Unicorn☺️another favorite. This majestic creature represents all that is good in the world and reminds us that we should strive to be our best selves.

Unicorns are not found in Greek mythology, but rather in the accounts of natural history, for Greek writers of natural history were convinced of the reality of unicorns, which they believed lived in India, a distant and fabulous realm for them. Although unicorns were thought to be fierce fighters, they were also symbols of purity. Perhaps this was because the ancient Greeks and Romans had associated them with virgin goddesses, such as Artemis, whose chariot was said to be drawn by eight unicorns.

These were new to me when we moved to Colorado and they popped up in spring of 1972. We had moved in February and the next day a huge snowstorm came—quite different than Texas weather.

Would you be suspicious if your partner gave you flowers or chocolates for no reason? No

3. For the guys:
Do you surprise your partner with something for no reason at all?

4. Have you accepted a gift with pleasure, even if you hated it? I never hated a gift but appliances never thrilled me😂

Gratitude: This week always, family, but especially for my daughter. I was feeling slightly depressed and she and I spent a day together and we laughed till I had a stomach ache. Such fun!❤️

MLMM Wordle

Familiar as I am with a song of these words
I find the sugary concept a bit absurd
We can join everybody that sees the bright
Rainbows, lollipops and sunshine light
The lucky penny you pick up and keep near
Hoping cloudy silver linings don’t disappear
I see how this attitude would keep brighter days
And if we act together we could extend these ways.

T for Typhon, largest, angriest, and most powerful mythical creature from Ancient Greece, also known as Typhoeus, is the child of Gaia and Tartarus. He is known as the father of all monsters. A gargantuan even the Greek gods feared—a giant beast with a serpent’s body that hissed as it moved and large wings that whipped up a ferocious storm wherever Typhon went. Hence the word typhoon, but could also use fire to destroy anything in his path.

Depending on descriptions, he had a human-like torso and, in some instances, up to a hundred fire-breathing dragon heads. Typhon was so mighty that Zeus needed 100 bolts of lightning to best the creature before locking it beneath Mount Etna. Typhon was the most fearsome and threatening creature the gods of Olympus ever faced off against.
