Trump and his crew enter the courtroom. Several followers line up behind them. The authority stops them and says: Show me your IDs. They answer: IDs? IDs? We don’t need no stinkin’ IDs!
My first time speaking in front of more than a few people was giving the opening speech at the State PTA annual convention. Of course I was nervous but I was proud to hold the office since I had started out as a member parent and worked myself up with different jobs I considered worthy and an honor. I believe the PTAs and PTOs do great work in our schools and deserve to be recognized as an important part of the education system.
As much as Tim had tried to ignore it, he couldn’t deny it any longer. They were just too big! Too damn big and what was he thinking anyway? She’d never go for a guy with big feet! She was a delicate small dancer and he was a big oaf. This isn’t beauty and the beast he thought, there’s just no way she’ll give me a second look. At that moment, Miss Julie Davenport walked up to him and asked him to dance. He was at the Sadie Hawkins dance at the local high school and standing on the side with a bunch of other boys. When Julie approached Tim, he thought he might faint. Maybe fairytales are true, he thought, as he took her hand.
His inner rage was cold and dark, and in moments, even seconds, the shy being he outwardly portrayed was gone, changes were revealed and he was dangerous. But when he was alone, true feelings stripped bare, he began to silently cry in frustration.

PROMPT WORD: TONIC
I think it was the tonic, my mind’s gone supersonic. Or maybe ‘twas the shaman’s brew; I only drank one or two. Promises of a cure for stress, ‘cause my life has been a mess, I went into a shaman’s tent, where all my troubles I did vent. I was served drinks to cure my ills which provided me with curious chills. Then my body was moving wildly, no longer sad and sitting idly, started jouncing and couldn’t stop, but the sadness, it did stop. Now I’m finally at my ease, don’t know about their expertise, but all the melancholy gone, no longer feel so withdrawn. You never know what makes a cure, the shaman’s drink may not endure, but for now a normal life’s secured.
2. Apart from grazed knees and applying a band aid, have you ever applied First Aid? I did give a woman my oxygen feed when she needed it in a grocery store and hers had run out– just until 911 arrived.
3. Are you squeamish about the sight of blood? No.
4. How far away is the nearest hospital? About two miles.
Gratitude: Beyond grateful to our 911 responders, and family who have helped me since I broke my leg four weeks ago today.
