I chose the phrase: “You talkin’ to me?” — from Taxi Driver (1976)

***

I love the movies

Sit in the dark

The theme starts playing

Creates a spark

Senses aware and my eyes are glued

Then the couple beside me start being rude

“You talking’ to me?” One of them said…

No place to move so I’m stuck with dread

My money spent, theater full

So I gave them a look.

Then his companion answered in kind

Never occurred someone might mind

This went on and no one was inclined

To tell them “be quiet”, and we’re all confined

Finally I answered his question’s intrude

“Yes I’m talking to you and you’re being rude.”

Fandango’s Flashback Friday

FFfAW – The Meal by rugby843

He sat there innocently, so charming in his blue plaid cotton shirt. You could actually smell freshness emanating from his being. Wavy blonde hair with just the right lock drifting down on his forehead, almost covering perfectly manicured brows. Bright blue eyes seemingly penetrating my mind, knowing what I was about to say.

He arrived early, ordered my favorite meal, knowing I loved this fare. I savored the salty chips, one at a time, while he was watching me. I ate slowly and deliberately, pausing in front of my lips, glancing up at those blue eyes, before taking a bite.

I cut the meat in small pieces, taking time with each morsel. I could feel the tension building in him, as his grin turned into a sexy pout, though he quickly recovered himself and the winning ever present smile was back. He liked to watch–he never dined with me, but he loved to watch me do anything. Finished, he tightened my wrap around me, steered me into the alley for a passionate kiss. Breathless, my heart pounded with anticipation.

The following morning, newspaper headlines read: “Woman Found Murdered, Body Drained of Blood. Surrounding businesses questioned only remembered she ate alone.”

3TC – Trump Cut Off? Nope 🙄

The challenge goes out around 6.00 am UK time, but pingbacks may not show immediately as they have to be approved manually and sometimes I’m late accessing my blog. I will get there, I promise!
Looking forward to reading your responses.

Your three words today are:
CHOP CHIP CHAP

***

Some people love the old chap

Some thought he got a bad wrap

I think, got some of what he deserved

A little chip off his shoulder which is never reserved

A chop to his rep, though, never achieved

Because thousands of lemmings choose to believe.

The Writer’s Workshop

***

Favorite fragrances, I have a few

Looking out on a sky blue

Drifting, wafting pleasantly

Newly mown grass speaks to me

Fresh and green

Damp and clean

Nostalgia for the barefoot child

Running across green grass piles

Footprints on the porch

Green feet on small legs short

A child who loves the new mowed grass

Is such a happy lass.

Writing, exciting adventure

Imagination surrender

Explore your vision of splendor

Aim for new steps and experiences to pen.

Step up, advance your exposure

Search your mind, let the disclosure

As in music, you’re composing

Make symphonic word creations thrum.
