MLMM Wordle

Sara wanted the bonus that was coming to her. The boss promised if she hung around the big spenders who were flush with cash, encourage them to be in extra games, he would keep her safe. The job was fairly easy; be sure to make the customer happy, show laughter at their tired jokes, and leading them to the expensive restaurant also in the casino. Sara was embarrassed when the boss told her she misunderstood his bonus offer. “That’s only if you go the extra mile”…wink. Sara picked up her things and left. She already hated the job, but this was too much.

No Theme Thursday

“Hey Maude, you up? I can’t see that far but I think that’s you? Looks like you’re ghosting me, get it, haha…at least that’s what the kids say, right Maude? Hey are you all right? I was thinking we could go down to Joe’s truck stop and scare the heck out of some tourists! Sound good?”
Charlie was an old friendly moose who probably thought he was human. He thought he could talk to them, but didn’t realize his voice came out as a high pitched cry or a bellowing roar, depending on what he’s trying to say. Suddenly he heard Maude let out a huge long moan…oh oh, thought Charlie, she’s in that mood again. Guess we’ll postpone that trip for a snack. Hmmm, thinking of snacks, Charlie decided to stop and grab a few maple twigs to give Maude for a romantic treat.

Me oh my, pie!

Image from Facebook

Who loves pie?

Me!

Autumn coming,

Some say it’s here

Making these pies

Is a task that’s near

To my roots, my heart

Whether sweet or tart

Memories drift

As you stir and sift

Rolling dough

Perfect circle, no

But taste is key

My mom had the gift.

Pumpkin , pecan

Blueberry too

Apple and cherry

To name a few

Lemon meringue is my choice

Tart and sweet in its voice

But I wouldn’t frown

With a Macintosh crowned

Crust just right

Crisp, no soggy sight.

My oh my, I do love pie!

🧋☕️COFFEE☕️🧋

The word coffee – an English version in 1582 from (Dutch koffie, Turkish kahve, Arabic qahwah). The story goes an Ethiopian goat herder 800AD, noticed his goats were acting strangely after eating berries. The herder tried them and found them very invigorating also. He took them to a monk who thought they were the devil’s product and threw them in the fire, thus causing a pleasing aroma and the rest is history!

Sweet or plain

Coffee sustains

Many a crew, even me and you

A morning cup of Joe

When your work is going slow

You will be stimulated

By drinking caffeinated

Whether hot or iced

Brain is enticed

Production increased

As caffeine released

Alert and focused now

A warning on how

Can make you irritated

And twitterpated

Raising blood pressure

Four cups is top measure

A useful stay alert tool

But follow the rules

Don’t get obsessed

Enjoy not to access.

I was just thinking today, I’ve been lacking in my positive attitude and humor. My posts have been filled with politics, my disgust with Trump and Vance. I think there’s little more I can do now, no promises. I hope to write some beautiful poetry—yes, that’s what I said, even though I struggle with it, rarely achieve my goal, but I do love trying. And stories, I hope to add humor, my favorite. As long as I’m rambling, I watched a good movie last night. “23 Blast” on Netflix, based on a true story and showing the real life characters in the credits. To end this mild confession, another Shardoma, a poetry form I like.

Sammiscribbles Weekend Writing Prompt

A cloudy and rainy day, Joe peered out the window, sighing. An omen, he thought; shouldn’t be doing this, and Joe secretly hoped no one would come. Sadness overwhelmed him at times this past month, and the auction a culmination of everything that had occurred. Joe was very close to his grandmother, now standing in her home, sensing her presence. Then feeling a hand on his shoulder, thought it was her way of saying it was all right.

Weekend Writing Prompt #380 – Auction

SoCS 9-7-24

You can tuck them, you could tack them but you’d need a tech to help you. When the clock starts to tick tock down, so do boobs. A push up bra is used by some and stick under ones can cause a numb, sensation or so I’ve heard. I gave up in the last third of my life and have succumbed at this late date, with no pending mate, I think I’ll just accept my fate.

Bring on the Dragons!

Yes it’s time! No more pussyfooting around the bush, no more turning away from the enemy’s constant sight and verbiage, no more words without action, no more hiding behind others’ coattails, no more shrinking from the truth, no more retiring to your recliner, it’s time to act! Bring on the dragons!

Thanks again Kevin for these spectacular images!
