He was a rogue, obviously, but did have somewhat gentle hands. Apparently the sentinel in front of her home was on a coffee break when the fragile woman was taken hostage. The silver heart bracelet she always wore was ripped away when he took her hand. She lay tonight, heart pulsing, the memory of her abduction fresh as it came every night, and finding no solace for her in the silence of her bedroom. These five years since, the recurring nightmare plagued her. She was rescued, her captor imprisoned, but there was still no peace for her.

Joe checked the strings on his guitar
He certainly didn’t want to mar
The love song he had written for her
All the while hoping she would concur
With the words poetically strung in a loving song
Asking for her to belong
To him.

Joe just liked hearing the loud crunch
Whenever he was eating lunch
Other diners cringed
Thought Joe was unhinged
Surprising he was never punched!

Camping in snow waiting for a thaw
His wildlife photos always caused awe
Tented in the wilderness in a hidden draw
Hard to believe all that he saw
Filmed too close to a mountain lion’s paw
Now has a big scar from its sharpened claw.

Wordle 673

In a sorcerer’s hut there was a man, in the bathtub. Unfortunately the man was stuck. Now you might think that being a sorcerer and a man being stuck in the bathtub in a sorcerer’s hut might be no problem at all. After all, there is a magic man handy! But of course I could be wrong. I could write the true story here, get a laugh out of it, but of course, the man in the tub would think it was quite rude. A fat man in a tub is sort of funny all by itself. Because naturally using the word fat means that he’s probably stuck in there. Maybe not. Possibly the true story is that the sorcerer and the man are in the tub together, and not to be taken literally, one was large and they were having a good time. Who doesn’t like a bubble bath?
