Left alone in bitter query

Sorrow making my life weary

I feel so sad, and it lies deep

Oh how my heart does weep

Curly hair adorns his crown

His beauty is well renowned

Sadness into my heart does creep

Oh how my heart does weep

His radiance blushes on my face

There is no winner in this race

Water from my eyes does seep

Oh how my heart does weep

Complaint, A Poem of Lament

Of course I had a cabbage that I needed to use and of course I cut the pieces too small because of course I was going to make coleslaw – the no mayo type which I found a recipe for now I really love it but of course I added the cabbage and onion to the sausage and of course I ignored the crackle of the too hot pan, and now I have blackened sausage, but it’s OK – I like a little char with my meals and of course I didn’t add enough cabbage, so when I warm it up, I will add the coleslaw to my meal. Of course, this is a boring story as is my life at the time. It seems I just go from one medical appointment to another and keeping track of medicines is difficult when your brain is on hold with some of the medicines. But at least I have some nice coleslaw to eat when I feel hungry.😂🥺

The Friday Reminder and Prompt for #SoCS March 15, 2025

The Sunday Whirl

Grandma was always kind to the child, never wanting to jinx her relationship with Joey but also wanting him to experience the way life could be, with rapture and adventure. She decided he was old enough to have the gift of sorcery she had practiced many years; just a favor of a few secret spells. This style of life served her well over time, but Joey’s mother was in denial such things existed and refused to let Grandma use any sorcery. They finally came to have a truce whereby Joey could be taught a bit, but with close supervision by his mother.
