SYW 4-14-25

Here are this week’s questions:

What did you have for breakfast today? Coffee

What is your preferred fruit juice? Orange

What is your favourite snack? Too many to name

What is your favourite hobby or pastime, either now or when you were younger? Now I love being with my family.

Gratitude: I am grateful to have family support and one of my granddaughters is coming home from PA where she finished her training as a pediatrician and another granddaughter and husband moved into their first house. Life is good.

I read the sign reading “Lease”. Excited to think we may have a home. Applied immediately and waited patiently for the owners’ reply. Meanwhile my husband continued his stints in the Reserves. I maintained my job at the Veterans help center. We were saddened to receive a crisp email declaring us unfit for the lease arrangement.

Federal Cuts – Claytoonz

“In addition to IMLS, Trump’s EO also eliminated the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the United States Agency for Global Media, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in the Smithsonian Institution, the United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund, and the Minority Business Development Agency.

The White House referred to these as “continuing the reduction of the federal bureaucracy.””

Blogging here for a few years, I think of people who I miss very much. Curiosity has stirred me to research where they are now and if they are okay. Some well read bloggers have passed away and I’m sure we all miss them as well. Farewells are sometimes heart breaking, but a sad fact of life. We are all here to enjoy each other’s work and miss the people who are no longer here.

The Sunday Whirl

The sound of the hounds in races to the fox flick a feeling of dread. That is a fox’s death song and so called heroes riding on a fast horses’ trip for slaughter is not my idea of entertainment. I wear a red hood in the forest so no hunter will shoot me and try to hide from the hunt. Suddenly I hear the fox’s whine and the brawl of dogs fighting over the prey.
