It’s not everyday I was able to take the train to Mafalda to get that special macaroni of the same title that you love, but here I am, waiting to board. I have all necessary items in my bag, along with your favorite sweater, just to remind me. I miss you so and your scent still remains on the wool.
When I return from my trip, I’ll make your favorite pasta dish with extra cheese, just as you loved it. Eating the dish by the fire in your chair, reminiscing about the love we shared and possibly a tear will fall as I miss you all over again.
She made all the necessary arrangements, flak vest, ammunition, extra parcel of weaponry. It was the final straw this morning as she tried for the tenth time to load a post. She turned the device off, let it sit, but when returned, no change. Frustration began to take over as once again she tried to upload the words.
Gobbledygook was all she saw, that is of course with “failed to upload” displayed across it. What to do? She contacted the masters of the app, the masters of the device, she even consulted Google, to no avail.
It was time for battle. Downing three quick shots of rum, she donned the hockey mask and stuck one more spiky pineapple and a coconut into the bag. It was time for the pina colada revenge.
My site has gone crazy. I wrote four posts today, and all I see is the address of the Prompt site, nothing else. It froze and I’ve never seen the looks of it before. Three years of blogging but never have I seen it go completely off kilter as it did today. My posts are gone, drafts also. I have contacted them, checked the help section, etc, no words from them, which is really irritating. This is a screenshot of it a few minutes ago. I checked everything and it just said, uploading failed. I had to delete the app and start again. I have no idea what’s going on. Look at this weird mess, have you ever had this problem?

Authors, writers, bloggers, all seem the same in different degrees. Some take themselves very seriously, others are dedicated to one subject such as cooking, gardening, photography, politics, long stories, chapters of books, cartoons, jokes, short anecdotes, or sales. We’re all selling ourselves in a way, wanting interaction, contact, reaction, or comments. We seek recognition, hoping that what we write will spark a thought in someone else, agree or disagree, but acknowledge our tinkering with words.
The Prompt today is co. This is appropriate for me, because I think of my relationship with my daughter as co parent. Yes she has a wonderful husband and in-laws and eight children, but I think we co parent each other. She is always there for me and vice versa. She pushes me to do things I probably should but don’t and we consult on life situations like cos do!😂.
The last two weeks have been nerve wracking for me and of course her, in turn. I had a colonoscopy on August first and had to wait til yesterday to know results. You may have noticed I haven’t been a barrel of laughs lately, partly because of worry, and pain. But today I found the polyps removed were large and pre cancerous, not colon cancer and revisit the lovely procedure in six months.
I wouldn’t have been worried as much if I hadn’t already had uterine and bladder cancer–so thought, okay, maybe I should have the lower half of my body removed to be healthy! Pain in my lower back for other reasons had me worried. That’s the worst thing about cancer. Even if they say operation successful, you are cured, it seems any abnormal pain makes your brain click into fear overdrive and that’s what I’ve been living with the last two years.
Anyone you have a close relationship with shares these fears even if they don’t talk about it. It’s probably even worse for them. That’s what co means to me.
Bottom line, pun intended, I am okay and relieved. So celebrate your health, go for tests, take care of yourself, and if you have questions, are afraid of anything, ask me, or talk to me, I am always here if you want to ask me anything, I’ll answer honestly. My email is provided.
