It was a dismal rainy day and Cheri thought about her destiny. She had been designing through the night and the cloudy day was not a good omen. Samples of a few dresses and accessories were shown to a store owner, but that woman seemed to despise Cheri. She thought about trying to find the woman’s competitor, and offering her designs. Both store managers turned Cheri down. “I guess designing clothes is not my destiny after all.”

Three Things Challenge #MM150

SYW 8-11-25

Here are this week’s questions:

The theme this week is Dining Out:
1. Do you prefer bar food, a restaurant, cafe or tea rooms?I prefer a restaurant where you can sit down, relax, and be waited on.

2. Do you always have the same thing, or try something different from time to time? Since I only eat in a restaurant maybe once every couple of months I choose a known place. My favorite here in town is Olive Garden and lasagna.

3. Have you ever had to send something back to the kitchen because it was sub standard? I wouldn’t send it back, I’d just not eat it. Most wait people don’t make much except tips. If you’ve ever done that job, you always tip. If it’s horrible, you can write something on the receipt.

4. If you have a complaint, do you make it in writing after you have left, or before you settle your bill? Answered above

Gratitude this week is for my two month old great grandson who is now about eight pounds and smiling❤️.

He never thought his theft from the museum would be a big deal. It was just a set of perfume bottles his mother admired. The perfumes were pure, but taking them up from their placed display, an exposed smell began to waft around him. Just a moment in time he was suddenly the center of attention, and the guards were called. He was taken away immediately.

“It wasn’t me honest, I didn’t even see it.”

“What?”

“This donut? Is that what you’re talking about?”

“Well, you see dad was making breakfast and he happened to drop the box of donuts.”

“While he was rounding them up for the kids, this one just rolled over to the couch and under the cushions”.

“I know, weird, huh? I don’t suppose you need this one, because it was the thirteenth in the baker’s dozen…uh…”. Puts his head down on his paws and looks up sincerely, pleadingly…

donuts will roll like a wheel with a hole

careful paw hides what is seen

under cushions sneaked meal
