blue is a favorite

hues bright and dark displayed in skies

sky blue or robin’s egg blue make my day

reflections in navy blue pools stand up

blue green waves topped with white caressing sandy shores

columbine flowers and lilies, all defined colors

morning sunshine lifts in sky blue background

azure blue of my daughter’s eyes wins

autumn feels
chilly
graying clouds moving faster
colorful mums on porch displays
leaves changing from green to brown
falling from wooded stems
pumpkins ready for carving
with scary faces or toothy smiles
children shopping for costumes
Halloween looming
pumpkin spice everywhere
fall is here

Empty and quiet the views inside and out. The older couple has left their constant perch. No one thought the threat of Covid was real and unfortunately for these two home bound people, never thought it would reach them. The deliveries they frequently used were not by masked individuals and the distant family members blamed them for bringing the fatal disease into the couple’s lives. A sad fact is these people will not be missed.

Questions!

QUESTIONS OF THE DAY

Where do you primarily shop for groceries? Walmart-Mart because they deliver.

Do you share the same photos in your blog as you put on Instagram? Why or why not? I’m not on Instagram.

If you have a blog do you write book reviews? If you’re on Goodreads do you put them there? On Amazon? Other? I don’t actually review it but sometimes put my personal opinion.

Do you, like me, look forward to posts from bloggers who write using a self-created prompt on a specific day of the week? Definitely 😉

Promises made in campaign speeches should all be taken with a grain of salt. Whether a small town sheriff or a presidential candidate, the contender will say whatever they think the voters want to hear. It’s also possible they are sincere but when in the actual chair after being elected, they find they are not the only one making decisions, and may not be able to fulfill their pledges. It’s politics, and should be taken with skepticism.

Sue sat up, startled. She grabbed her phone and saw what time it was. Sue lived alone, and there was no way she was answering the door at that time of night. However she was curious as to who would do that pounding, so walked to the door, turned no lights on, and peeked through the peep hole. Nothing. No person, nothing. She walked over to the window and turned one slice of the blinds to see more of the front door area. Suddenly a man’s face was at the window looking back at her through the blinds. Sue jumped back and fell on the couch, lucky it was there to catch her fall. She was surprised and stunned to see her dead husband’s face through the glass. “What the?” Sue screamed. This was crazy! The face disappeared quickly. Then she heard ringing, but it was not the doorbell. It was her cell phone phone’s morning alarm.
