Crestfallen as the toscin whistle sound toppled the edge Snidely mistakenly thought he had— and the escape he had perfectly planned; he now knew they would pinch him, and no contest if they decided to run after him.
He scrambled up on the rock pile in front of the fence and fell forward onto his face, breaking his nose, squashing his perfectly groomed mustache, and blackening his one good eye. As they lifted him in handcuffs he tried not to think he failed, but clearly the Mounties had licked him again.

I have been having a lot of problems trying to add images to a post. As in the three spinners— after trying the block editor that prints huge photos even though I have said thumbnail size, to the classic editor that still lets me size how I want in the preview, but the post results are not the same as the preview. It’s frustrating! With my new iPhone I find it completely difficult to post anything. Am I alone here? And the too small text? 🤯
Curious in Viking history since ancestry states I am descended from them, I have been looking into the three spinners in Norse history. Here is some of what I found.

Easy looking through a rosy glass to see a world so civil
Still call out and bend ignoring the bitter pill
Follow their footsteps to sample the hateful blend
And mask the truth, writing to save the lies.

My current favorite Netflix series is rewatching “The Last Kingdom” and looking forward to season five. My favorite character Finan– the actor is shown here being locked out of his trailer😄. The main character, Uhtred, is a fictional character in an account of King Alfred’s rule based on the book series “The Saxon Stories” written by Bernard Cornwell.

Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “the last photo you took.” Take the last photo you snapped. What’s the first word that comes to mind when you look at it? That word is your prompt. Enjoy!

A curious child rips a flower from its roots and plucks the petals; a lovesick youth chooses single daisy petals to question his love; a tired wife pulls petals from a bouquet she bought herself, making a potpourri of hope to a better future; a grandmother cherishes dried petals pressed years ago in her diary.
