Now What?
It was a dream come true, or at least she had hoped it would be. Castles, mountains, forests, all the magical ingredients found in books would now be a reality. She had decided to try the new teleportation device advertised in SCIENCE WEEKLY.
Cathy was an avid reader and her imagination had built up a place of overwhelming beauty. The reality was not really a disappointment, rather a skewed version of her dream. Everything seemed a bit peaked, stiff and uninviting now that she was actually here. She should have known better when she landed in the middle of the canal!

We had planned to meet under the bridge at midnight, but as most quickly made plans, it failed. The main reason was the bystanders who were agog at the sight of an accident involving high speed. The bridge was closed and surrounding traffic had been diverted. Even though the scene was bloody, it seemed the crowd continued to stare, to satiate their morbid curiosity.

The feline of the household twitched a whisker towards the sounds. Her master was not usually the type to show anger and Freddie wondered if she should quicken her exit of the room. In this case Freddie knew she was to blame. The grit from her litter box had strayed off the collecting mat. Sort of sneakily, Freddie moved to a safer spot under the table. Her master was kind, but this was her own fault.
