Finding fun in your day keeps you in the light.

I rub my morning eyes
Tired from a fitful sleep
Dreaming once again of you
Seeing your chunky tanned hands
Soft to the touch
The wide gold wedding band still present.
Many years, it still remains our symbol—
A lasting commitment of early love.

Everything amuss
My fault that I lost it
Under my arm of trust.
Moving also is to blame
I know it’s somewhere safe
But having lost it
Causes chaos just the same.
