The sale of women’s rights is now visible in the public eye. You may reel at the thought but the Supreme Court has fixed its sail to travel to the edge of what they must think is the edge of this flat planet. The real people who have brains and thoughts and feelings of love for their fellow man will suffer these consequences. What is next on their list is something we should be thinking of now—even though it seems all rational minds are quelled.

This week’s prompt is: Fireworks Celebrations
***
My first fireworks were on the second day of my honeymoon watched from a boat “tour” on Lake Champlain. My husband loved fireworks and a short trip out of town provided any type of them. The most dangerous when our kids were small were the flat round discs that would fly anywhere after being lit. They weren’t allowed to light them but loved them and the grandkids also. Now it is sparklers only and watching them from afar. Small towns invest a lot of money each year for July 4th but here the displays over city parks are equal. Fireworks go off here, illegally at every holiday and at least a week every night before the Fourth. It is a fire danger and has destroyed grasslands and buildings but keeps happening.
A memorable view was from the then named Mile High Stadium in Denver. It was “up close and personal”😂
The ambrosialessences of smoke, beef sizzling, and fire are the endeavor of a steak house chef. When the cooked meat is transferred to the customer’s hot metal plate, his mouth starts to water and he savors the complete aromas in the restaurant.
Up until today the words were “absolutely not!” by her mom, but her big brother intervened. With a guiding hand, a helmet, and a ready for emergencies pack, Joe took his little sister to ride on a skateboard.
Following on from Monday’s milestone your three words today are: NOTICE SCROLL ROSETTE
Julie nervously adjusted the microphone hidden in her blouse’s rosette and shifted only slightly away from him. As the other detectives were sitting in a car outside recording the conversation, she was aware the criminal seemed to scroll through his phone. “As I was saying, Mr. White, I don’t have the money right now.”
Mr. White stopped scrolling with his beady mean eyes and slowly stated “Then I guess you know what will happen”. Julie didn’t have to fake a shiver and scared response.
“You’re going to hurt her? Please, I will get the money to you…tonight? I’ll find it somehow!”
“Tonight at midnight, Creature Park by the fountain. If you’re late, she’s dead.”
Later just before midnight, she and two hidden detectives waited at the park’s fountain. The kidnapper appeared as if from nowhere, grabbed the money and a shot rang out. Julie lay in the grass, dead. The two detectives came out and the three of them took off in a woman’s car.

I learned today, again, that the older I get, the more routined I am and if interrupted, one of the usual procedures will often be missed.
