QUADRILLE (a poem of EXACTLY 44 words, sans title) that includes the word “present” in the body of the poem. You can use it as a verb or noun.

Present the case
And do it well
Just the facts,
No need to swell
Anyone will see the truth
This man is certainly uncouth
We hoped his rhetoric would stop
Hopefully quelled by a cop
See the justice finally served—
That’s the intended op!

It’s bad enough you have (Joe off the street) spouting such hate speech but do we have to see “elected officials“ do it too? Yes, and that should shiver your timbers😳

Sunday’s Six Sentence Story Word Prompt!

Wordle 608

The vertical drop is a lie that highlights the nightmare—falling, falling and then I wake up, eventually finding myself safe in bed which is proof it was only a dream, even if a horrible one. I lay there paralyzed for a few minutes, feeling around to find I really am safe in my bed. My usual decorus after such unpleasantness would be to label it only a dream. The turmoil between the frightening dream and wakefulness seems to last too long and I take the glass of water by my bed. That’s what they do in the movies, supposedly to calm people, but that is misleading, of course, because it’s only an offering not a cure.

Welcome to the Saturday Mix – No Nonsense, 10 June 2023! You will be given a nonsensical, made-up word. You will need to come up with your own definition and use it creatively and in context, in your response. It is your choice whether you write using poetry or prose. Your nonsense word this week is: “strele” Remember, define it; then use it!
This word just made me laugh because one of my granddaughters is named Sterlie Abeni – she was adopted from Haiti and her middle name means “girl prayed for”. She is a beautiful tall model with a quirky personality who wants to be an actress. I laughed at the prompt because all during schooling – she’s now 25, no teacher would call her the real name, but instead Sterile. Even today people can’t seem to get their head around the correct pronunciation so it’s a joke in the family. It has to be, because people are thoughtless and uncaring, and you have to let things like this roll on by if you want to survive in today’s society, especially today.
