Daily Prompt: Glitter

All the social media glitter

Has everyone all a Twitter

Facebook, LinkedIn, etc

All of them seem better

Than actual conversation

Sitting at a table with libation

So much easier to just text

If you don’t like what’s coming next

You don’t need to use your feet

To walk away, just push Delete.

Share Your World-February 20, 2017

Good Afternoon from sunny, windy, Wyoming! All the family gone to Fort Collins, CO today so I’m reading all of the blogs. I’m also recording a couple of movies I haven’t seen from the free preview this weekend. Today is President’s Day here in the US. Funny thing is, HBO hasn’t changed movies much since I first tried them in the eighties!๐Ÿ˜‚ They call them Premium Channels and usually cost about ten dollars extra for each one. HBO does come with what my kids used to call Skinomax (Cinemax). But I don’t watch much television, so do not use them. However I have been watching the History Channel’s SIX, and love PBS Masterpiece Theater. Thrilling news, isn’t it?  ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜„

Ceenphotography has new questions on this week’s Share Your World:

1. No, I don’t move my mouth when using scissors to cut anything. And I thought weird questions were at the end?……

2. No, I don’t chew pens or pencils, yuck! And I throw away any that are left around by others.

3. I used to collect rocks as a child and hoped to be a geologist. Funny fact is that I married a geophysicist! Those are competing occupations……yes.

4. My bed is a king sized one. When I was in a lot of pain, I could not lay still at night, so when we had to get a new bed, I wanted a king size so I wouldn’t disturb my husband all night. Now of course it is a pita because I can’t make it myself.

5. I am grateful my grandson came over “just for a hug” and talked about a problem he was having.  I am looking forward to getting out in the sunshine if it lasts through the week. It is my daughter’s birthday todayโค๏ธ

Write Anything Wednesday….

This book is a good, quick read.  It gives you steps more honestly and personal than a self help book.  I know the author personally as you will find if you read my posts and the book.  It’s available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.  If you click on the Amazon link below the picture you can read an excerpt, or better yet, read it on Kindle.

Prompt #2005 Visual Prompt of the Week โ€“ The Promise

The old tree was bent over in agony.  He couldn’t take much more of this stress and pain.  Curved arms pulled upward but most of them were touching the ground to keep him from falling.  His two strongest branches were reaching out in both directions to steady himself but the cliffs were too far away.  The rain had stopped and he was still so thirsty.  With the rainbow, the sun was coming again and his hope for new growth was once again defeated.

Prompt #2005 Visual Prompt of the Week – The Promise

Tell me Something Good-2-20-17

Ever bought a frozen meal

You hope it tastes just like real

But often not, so here’s the dope

Don’t buy it, expecting or hope

For a homemade taste.

Sure, they cook in haste.

But never fail to disappoint

Your tastebuds to anoint

As they were on this night

Wasn’t even labeled “lite”

Lasagna which I don’t make

For just one too long it takes.

So tried a meat variety

Baked in the microwave entirely

Couldn’t wait for this tasty dish

Rubber noodles was not my wish.

Sauce not bad, not much cheese

What type of chefs are these?

If you’re craving, don’t fix a pout

My advice is just eat out.

SoCS-Ham-2-17-17

Saturday, a great day for the past few weeks because it means my sweetest sweet, ten year old granddaughter plays basketball.  Today was the last of the games, and she’s off to softball practice this afternoon, and soccer tomorrow.  She was actually recruited to play on this team and another one last year.  She can move around like a pro, and even being small, she can pop them into the basket just fine.  I love watching her, well, any of the kids playing anything; but she is a small athlete for sure.  She takes after her older sisters and brothers and plays full out in everything.  I haven’t seen her softball yet, but heard she can already throw well.  She’s the little one in the dance recital, Peppermint Twist, on my post Now for Something Completely Different.  I also have video of her playing ball last year, but don’t want to bore you with too much grandmaness!๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’™โšฝ๏ธโšพ๏ธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ˜„โค๏ธ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’œ

P.S.  We all love ham!๐Ÿ˜‚
