I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. Evidence

I entered the canopy, looked around to see if someone had followed me. Seeing I was alone, I washed the black dirty blood from the bone. It no longer sparkled the red I first saw on it. The victim had defended himself but was now in a forever sleep, possibly already a ghost lurking around the canopy. The large tent covering the homicide site held secret whispers of the murder and this bone would help in detecting the villain. It was the small bone of a hand, the murderer’s hand I assumed, and DNA would be his demise.

WordPress Fog

Reading posts that dazzle, when trying to summarize and express my thoughts in a comment, my ambition is stretched. Everyone dreams of receiving comments. But for some weird turn of events now I am receiving everyone’s comments in my own comment section and even email! I have tried to beat this new irritating game and have had to unsubscribe to some people I follow to try to stop this overflow. (If Jo A receives a comment from Jo B, for example, for some reason I get all those comments on my feed). What is up? How should I navigate through this fog?

Eulogy

Everything set up, ready to hear the widows’s elegy. She tried not to wince as the melody of their first waltz together drifted into her ears. She fingered the ring he gave her that day, a now wafer thin dried wreath of ivy. He made it from a plant that grew near the ridge she was standing on now. That day was not meant to be manic, only a simple ceremony in this same spot. But instead of feigning approval, her parents decided to voice a rant to the love of her life, letting everyone know they disapproved of their union, she being too young and him being too old. Her brother escorted them to the back of the gathering and the celebration of her husband’s life began.

The eighty year old grandmother asked her teenaged grandson for instruction for her new cel device. She had mastered the iPad but now she had to have him help her on how to use an app that let her take quick pictures of greetings and emoji messages.

The grandson was always patient and as she streamed his cup with fresh coffee, they set to work.

Don’t keep your day job

Joe decided to upgrade his daydream wishes. He was tired, mentally and physically from the nightmare of supposed paranormal visitations. “No hill for a stepper”, he could hear his mom’s advice from when a child. This thought prompted him to take the initiative and turn his daytime activities into something great. So what if he saw things move in shadows, heard noises no one else heard, had strange thoughts creep into his mind as he tried to maintain his job requirements! Maybe he was psychic, a seer, fortune teller; he was going to ignore all of it.

And just as he drew a smiley face on the bottom of the first draft of his daily boring report, it happened. The smiley grew into a large evil face, jumping off the paper and he heard a scream. Was that his voice?
