I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. I am happy to read all of your blogs and learn more about you. Please comment however you like, ask whatever, and I'll answer honestly. Thanks for reading! Cheryl

THE SUN WAS SETTING OVER THE LAKE, PAINTING THE SKY IN A MIX OF ORANGE AND GOLD, AND THE AIR WAS FILLED WITH THE SOUND OF CRICKETS SINGING, WHEN SUDDENLY…Joe startled. He heard hoofbeats, loud on the sand and getting closer every second. He rubbed his eyes because he couldn’t believe what he was seeing! Then a voice with a strange accent yelled at him, “Master Yoseph! They are coming! Mount up!” Joe was incredulous at the sight of a black clothed warrior riding up close and speaking to him. Suddenly a horse appeared and as he looked down, his entire wardrobe had changed. This is cool, he thought and just as he pulled himself up on the saddle, his wife nudged him. “What’s going on? I think you fell asleep. By the way are you finished with that book, because I want to read it too.”

Another Book!

Finding not much to watch I have been reading more and this book brought back my feelings during the days of the Vietnam War and the Pentagon Papers. It is a YA book and maybe that’s why it was so easy to understand. I highly recommend it! And what is your opinion of the PP if you’d care to share?

1. How organised are you in either your working or private life? Very organized everywhere

2. Do you remember family birthdays or anniversaries and send cards? Yes but need them in my calendar if they are new.

3. If you see something in a shop that is an extravagance but you can afford it, do you buy it? No. I used to be able to do that years ago.
