I am a widow since 2013 and live by myself in a small apartment. I use a wheelchair to get around, but I wouldn't consider myself disabled. I'm 11 years away from having bladder cancer resulting in a urostomy and I'm doing well. This cancer was a result of having radiation in 1995 because of uterine cancer. So have faith in yourself, a cancer diagnosis is not a death sentence. My first try at blogging was an attempt to help other people with my condition. I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother to eight gorgeous kids, featuring them often here, and a great grandmother to two as of today, 6/7/25! I enjoy exploring my feelings and like to try the challenges. I like humor, music, movies, games, and some sports. I absolutely appreciate your reading and commenting on my blog. Seeming to ignore the beautiful sunset, Mike’s girlfriend was absorbed in voice with a new ally she found dressed in an open shirt, brandishing a chest full of musculature. Political discussions aside, Mike knew in advance that Joe would be attending his friend’s party, but had not seen him in a couple of years. Joe was definitely working the women at the gathering, possibly hoping to gain one as a lover? Then Mike saw him turn to see an old acquaintance they both knew in college. Introducing his friend as Charles, he was quickly drawn by Joe’s side and they brushed kisses on cheeks.

Simply Six Minutes

Wanting the perfect wedding was always a dream. College degree, good job, my own apartment, finding the love of my life and then the ultimate “big wedding”. It never occurred to me that this might only be a dream, but since the age of six when I was the flower girl in my sister’s wedding, I dreamed it. Logistics never a thought in my head because I was a goal oriented person and so far at twenty-three, everything was right on schedule. I was just settling in to the perfect job and the chance at a promotion when he walked into my office. You know that time you are busy shuffling paperwork and you feel something in the air that causes you to look up? Well I did, and there he was…every goal so carefully planned, left my mind. Later as we decided to spend our lives together, the wedding went beautifully!

MLMM Photo Challenge

A vision hardened in stone, the brain now gone, he could only partially hear the movement in his surroundings. Not knowing what evils had been done to him by curious men disguised as doctors and scientists, he wondered how he could hear them at all. He had no feelings of body, although he was somehow “aware”. He could see his head sitting there, partially destroyed, and solid, his brain apparently removed, but how could he know this? Looking around the darkened room, he realized the fact that now, he was surrounded by liquid. Had his brain been preserved for study? He tried to scream but of course he observed his mouth was now across the room, immovable.

“I could just scream!” Sue was beyond couth and had to enact the loud protest as she once again read the news. Every day it seemed to radiate hate and lies. There was no attempt by the justice department to hinder these ridiculous outbursts from elected officials.

“It’s a provision of free speech” her brother replied, quietly sipping his morning coffee ignoring her tirade.

“Free speech my a—! I can’t even believe you are my relation!”

I thought his address was in this old address book but I can’t find it. I know he’s the one who sent the flowers. I could try and write him one more time to say back off, I’m not interested, but that would be pretty rude. He can’t seem to take the hint that a one time coffee get together was the first and last time I ever wanted to see him.
