SYW 4-3-23

Here are my questions this week:

1. Do you have a favourite movie?
2. Who is you favourite actor and actress?
3. Do you attend or have you ever attended a live theatre production?
4. Have you ever wanted to be an actor/actress?

I have too many favorites when it comes to movies and actors! I have attended a few live productions, the most recent—my granddaughter in a college play. No.

I am grateful to have the horrible wind stop for a while. It’s a winter “tradition” in WY, 😀 and for my family of course.❤️

B for benandanti (“Good Walkers”) were members of an agrarian visionary tradition in the Friuli district of Northeastern Italy during the 16th and 17th centuries. The benandanti claimed to travel out of their bodies while asleep to struggle against malevolent witches (malandanti) in order to ensure good crops for the season to come.

The Sunday Whirl

The north wind upstream spun the silver spindles on her wind chime. The cacophony startled sitting crows, causing them to flee to a higher branch. Their nimble panic caused her a light smile. Birds were one of the reasons she had the loud chimes. Julie had a probably skewed view of avian wildlife. Unlike her neighbors who were smitten by the small creatures flying around their gardens, she had grown up despising them. Margins of her mania were based on childhood by the seaside where large predatory birds caused her fright.

Six Sentence Story

Be it silk or cotton, no one is forgotten. Not completely, because of a thread. The thread woven by family members, neighbors, friends from childhood, still remain a knot in the thread. These knots preserve, keep the thread from shredding into fluffy remnants to be discarded. Tie new knots into the old, always aware of how love is keeping the thread alive.

Rory’s Dawdler

What do you find yourself splurging on the most? Espresso syrup.

What is your top writing tip? Be yourself.

Are you a regular recycler, and if so, what are five of your top recycling tips? We don’t have it here in complex. I can’t even take my own trash out. I used to and do what I can.

Are you someone that wants to be or needs to be heard and seen, or are you content to be found behind the scenes? I think everyone wants to be recognized but I’m happy to observe.

How approachable do you think you are in real life and away from the keyboard, and do others feel the same way about you? Very. It’s a fun part of life.

Do you sit more on the fence or the edge of the knife? Have you read me?😂

What do you remember the most about your grandparents? Both sets of grandparents lived with us, so I was a lucky girl. I was very little when they passed away. My mom took care of them as two were bedridden most of the time. I helped her whenever I could and enjoyed being around them.

How important to you is validation from your readers to your written content – do you need acknowledgement from others to create? I think most of us love comments from others having read what we write. It is very important.

What is it you would have liked to have been asked about your life but have yet to be? 😂 I think all the prompts and questions pretty much ask it all!
