Bedtime wishes seen in blue
A magical orb provides some clues
Imagination sees them too
A book of pages sifted through
Small fingers’ curiosity grew
And wonderful dreams ensue.

4 line stanzas, as few as one stanza and up to as many as you like.
8 syllables or less per line
Rhyming is AAAb. The second stanza would be CCCd. The third, EEEf. And so on. Meaning nothing in one stanza must rhyme with anything in the previous stanza. The fourth line does not rhyme.

Photo Challenge #517
Below is an example of the frustration writing a post here. This lovely symbol pops up, the screen divides and if you want to make a change, the keyboard pops up over the post so you can’t see what you’re writing. If you click on the mini keyboard to put it on the bottom, the whole screen goes wonky! 😳🤯😵💫😖

Four Line Fiction (2422)

I may be wily, even smart
As I pen these words about pop tarts
Since I broke my leg 11 weeks ago
Now wearing a boot to see how it goes
At night it pains so I get no sleep
No pain killers allowed to keep
It from stabbing me and waking me up
So I get out of bed and find something to sup
Cold water is fine
But I want to dine
Not a big meal
But something I feel
That soothes the soul
Pop tarts sol-ution!
I hear you laugh
That I must be daft
Honestly, they were a years-ago fave
And the last couple of weeks I find I crave
The plain ones, strawberry the best
So at night when I can’t sleep I digest
A single pop tart or maybe two
Seems to chase away the blues
While waiting for Tylenol
To fix it all.

The photo of filling is slightly exaggerated 😳😎😂

I chose him, maybe he chose me
At first the darkness I didn’t see
Needed someone, he seemed to be free
I was in a place I didn’t want to be
I didn’t know it was temporary
Found he wasn’t where he should be.
