Showing my age this week, again…I choose one of my still favorite songs, “Autumn Leaves” from (US version)1955.
Original French Version
- Artist: Yves Montand
- Year: 1949
- Details: Before it became an American standard, the original French song was “Les Feuilles mortes” composed by Joseph Kosma with lyrics by Jacques Prévert, made famous in France by Montand.
Listen to the classic 1955 vocal recording of Autumn Leaves by Nat King Cole:

Nice choice, Cheryl going with this lovely song and Yves Montand was born on October 13, 1921.
