The child ran to a sometimes safe haven, under his bed. It wouldn’t be able to protect him for long because they would keep searching until the anger and frustration would cost him for trying to keep in safety. Maybe their drunken state would render them in solitude. Why the judge ignored his pleas and disbelieved his words, he didn’t know. It seemed he no longer cared for children’s states of living.
