Living Poetry

He changed his mind

Not yet the time

He’d try again

Save this for the end

Deciding his fate

A wave too late

Returned to the beach

Back into the breach.

This is a story of a man who was trying to swim out and drown himself. These days some times it’s hard to face the reality of life. He’s going to try.

Or:

Chilly waters

Waves too strong

Joe tried his best to go along

Everyone else had swimming skills

Joe did not, envied Bill

The girls all thought he was all right

But Joe just could not shake his fright

Then Joe spotted a shark, turns out Joe was wise.

  1. Our beach is 600 yards away and we get a lot of ‘beached whales’ under the guise of tourists……….. it can be a horrible sight with more rolls than McDonalds hanging over belts and muffin tops.
