the March winds prevail
bringing a sorrow and guilt
blowing the dark evil ways

mad as a hatter they used to say
this is merely another way
the evil spirit declares the day
“let’s have a war in which I play
the king and all laws go away”
generals, remember to pray
even judges cannot sway
while innocent children suffer the slay
where is the angel of peace you say
flown with the mad march hare this day.
