It used to be the only time you would hear “eek” coming out of my mouth would be if I saw a spider or snake, or when we lived in Houston, roaches! I’m sure many Southern “livers” can relate. Now it’s a much stronger well used but hardly appropriate utterance which I’m also thinking which is familiar. Now it’s daily news instead of insects, but pondering that, it really does equate!

I try to avoid the news as much as possible. I pay attention to what’s going on, but the news seems designed to draw an ‘eek’ out of us.
