Of cabbage, vinegar, and more
No chlorination used in this chore
From Chinese roots of preservation
With cabbages stored in rice wine
Then the Tartars thought it divine
Using cabbage in a salt brine
Germans named it sauerkraut
Liked on ships at sea, stored without
Any needed refrigeration
A healthy fare with vitamin C
Preventing sailor’s’ getting scurvy
If all is told, benefits can cause gas
Some excommunication when lit’s passed.
