dVerse Poets Quadrille

***

Only a sliver, she professed at the table
Spoken by marvelous Mable
A delight in her manner and smile
Even though all the while
Her so called friends turned their backs
Standing envious in a pack
Gossiping that Mable had a serious diet lack.

  1. Oh dear, Cheryl, poor Mable needs to find new friends. I’m diabetic and really should have only a sliver of most things. I like how Mable keeps smiling, even when those envious friends turn their backs.
