I used to be an idol for the small ones, a wellspring of products accompanied me—a wardrobe, a pet, even houses! There was no lapse or lax in the production of Barbie accessories. Parents would log in to the latest rhetoric to keep their child happy, actually tired of the outfits, losing tiny shoes that of course were needed—to quell dramatic whines from their offspring consumers. But time goes on, and even I turn old with rickety breakable arms and legs and end up discarded with all the other dolls that were once lovingly cared for.
