W3 Prompt #45: Wea’ve Written Weekly

Here she comes again
Usually starts at ten
Sticky fingers never clean
Tapping my buttons at every scene
Fast forward buttons have lost their sheen
And changing volume up and down?
All neighbors in surround sound drown
Then there’s the oft spilled drinks
Pushing my batteries to the brink
And changing them must be a chore
You should have heard the ragged swore
When they need to be replaced
Searching the drawer she is red faced
My functions always get screamed at
I’m sometimes thrown, land in a splat.
My happy times start at midnight
When she is finally out of sight.

  1. This brought a smile! The poor remote is in a love hate relationship. I remember prying the sad sticky remote from toddler hands and attempting to keep it out of range of little hands – seems to be the first piece of technology children gravitate toward!
